Why Our Choices Are Pre-determined
*Free will*, as we perceive it, might not exist. By examining the **prefrontal cortex**, Sapolsky shows how our brain makes 'choices' for us—long before we’re even aware of them. In his view, what we call 'choice' could simply be an elaborate illusion created by a brain wired for survival. This isn't to say we are just robots, just that the forces shaping our actions are usually more complex and rooted in biology than we might typically acknowledge.
